Conor Hibbler

Born and raised in Houston Texas, Conor Hibbler grew up around the art of film and making movies. “I can remember when my family had a home-movie camera, for Christmas and holidays and all that, and pretty early on I started making little movies with my siblings – like detective movies, Indiana Jones, stop-motion LEGO stuff, etc.” Conor loved movies so much that he can also recall asking his teachers to let him make a movies about stories they read in class instead of writing about them. And eventually… it worked. “The joke was on me though. I could have written the thing in 3 hours, but I'd end up spending 4 days shooting a re-enactment of Macbeth, or a Spanish talk show. They loved it though.”

Now the head of his own production company in Brooklyn, New York, Conor and his team of creative geniuses have made numerous short films, music videos and commercials. They have worked with several brands such as Levi’s, Cartier and Mejuri Jewelry just to name a few. When asked why he created his company, Conor pointed to the non-chemistry of the film crews that were often assembled in the industry. “It's usually a hodge-podge of crew members, who have not worked together, all scrambling to get on the same page about a shoot, two days before the thing is being shot. And I noticed a lot of missed opportunities by some of these crews. Just from their communication.”

So Conor got together with his talented friends, who he has known and worked with for over 6 years, and created Bonzo Grimley. As a result, the business has flourished as a small independent production company that aims to work so closely with clients, they feel like they are your friend.

We have had the pleasure of working with Bonzo Grimley as they produced our webseries “Attorneys with Swag” and our debut music videos “Red and Blue” and “Deduct It.” We can honestly say… they are just different. They are some of the most passionate artists we have ever met and seen in action. They are professionals but at the same time, we find ourselves just wanting to hang out with them as good friends because of their good nature and down-to-earth vibes.

Currently, they are working on several new projects including a shortfilm called TITO, starring Alexei Bondar, as well as WWE wrestlers Erick Redbeard and Cesaro. Bonzo Grimley also won best film at the independent shorts award show in Los Angeles, CA and other awards in cinematography, directing and ensemble cast.

“There is no set on earth like a Bonzo set,” says Conor. “We’ve got our fingers on the pulse… and the people are starting to wake up to it.”
