From the Bronx to LA, A Story of Resilience and Success

Dela Yador, a 39-year-old native of the Bronx, New York, now calls Los Angeles home. With a background in marketing, producing, and community organizing, Yador has worn many hats throughout his career. From his early days in Lehman High School to his time in Buffalo organizing events, he's always had a passion for bringing people together.

Having worked with renowned companies such as VH1 Viacom and BET under the Viacom umbrella, Yador's journey in the entertainment industry has been nothing short of impressive. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to organize a slew of events, from parties to trap karaoke. His mark in the marketing world is particularly noteworthy, having been instrumental in the relaunch of the brand Martel Cognac in the U.S., partnering with artists and influencers alike.

Yador's roots in the Bronx have deeply influenced his career and outlook on life. Growing up near 180th and East Tremont, he recalls the rich multicultural atmosphere of his neighborhood. This upbringing has taught him valuable lessons about working with and understanding diverse groups of people. His experiences in different parts of New York, from Buffalo to Brooklyn, have enriched his perspective on community and connection.

Yador's belief in the power of storytelling is evident in his approach to marketing. He emphasizes the importance of understanding one's brand, audience, and how to present oneself in a positive light. His mantra, "whether you believe you can or you can't, you're right," showcases his optimistic and resilient outlook on life.

As a community organizer, Yador has been instrumental in bringing people together for various events. One of his initiatives, Runday Service, is a basketball community in New York and LA, attracting various personalities, from actors to WNBA champions.

His move to Los Angeles in 2019 was driven by opportunity. Even in the face of challenges like the pandemic, Yador found solace in the outdoors, describing his time in LA as a "second childhood."

To those aspiring to make their mark in the world, Yador's advice is clear: self-awareness is key. Understanding oneself, one's past, present, and future, is crucial to navigating life's challenges. He emphasizes the importance of doing the hard work, uncovering layers of oneself, and breaking free from the things holding us back from being our best selves. In his words, "the best work that we're ever going to do is on ourselves."

Dela Yador's journey from the Bronx to Los Angeles, from marketer to community organizer, is a testament to his resilience, dedication, and passion. His story is an inspiration to all, reminding us of the power of self-belief, hard work, and community.
