Meet Chris Grant – Comedian

Born in the Bronx, New York, Chris Grant knew very early on in his life that comedy was the perfect career path for him. Chris remembers back in 7th grade when he was in school and kids would make fun of him because he was overweight and one of the biggest kids in class. However, there was one kid in particular that always had it out for Chris. “Lets just say he will forever be known to me as ‘Noodle Man,’ says Chris. “When I realized that I could take control of laughter and direct it elsewhere, I knew that that was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.”

Since that moment, Chris has done multiple stand up routines and has made a living making people laugh. “I am inspired by real life comedy that takes a common view and juxtaposes it. I would say my comedy is very closely aligned to Martin Lawrence and Bernie Mac,” Chris says. As a school teacher during the day, his side-gig as he calls it, Chris keeps kids in mind when he creates jokes as well and makes sure to include them in his target audience. After all, his childhood experiences had a big impact on his career path as a comedian.

Chris hopes to eventually see himself in his first major feature film. But until then, the show goes on.
